El Camino del Rey

Postby ChannelFadge » Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:20 pm

Someone posted this on the dark side forums. Im sharing it here

Wow! But makes me feel a bit sick watching it because Im terrified of heights.
I dont think theres any chance of a cache up there though, its officially closed to public...but that doesnt stop tourists going up there (and occasionally falling off).

Yikes. I've seen that a couple of times and every time, I think the same thing: It's begging for someone to re-edit it with this music and a crowbar hud-wobbling across the screen ;) 'Tis just like that section where you come out onto the cliff-face...

Is it similair to the sections of walkway shown on the classic war film Von Ryan's express

when the POWs are repairing the track in the mountains to get their train across the border they walk round the mountain on sections of walkway like this that then get blown up by the Luftwaffe.

thanks for reminding me of that great film :D
Now an EX-Bargee, moved onto land,
Boat sold.....sad.

Still round the corner there may wait, A new road or a secret gate,
And though I oft have passed them by, A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run, West of the Moon, East of the Sun.

Superb link!!! Reminded me of Tombraider :P

Could I do it? I'd certainly want to, but please tell me that you're clipped in the whole time? The normal sections would then be doable, but the bits walking over the bare metalwork

Some of the sensible looking people :P that the camera guy passed were clipped on but I think whoever was filming it was walking through way too fast to be clipped, especially some of the later walking on the bar bits, he didn't skip a beat
