Explorer scouts need help!

Hi all,

Just become a leader at 38th Rossendale scouts, obviously trying to promote geoaching as much as I can, taking a group of explorer scouts out for a night hike and will be letting them claim their first 3 caches en route.

The only GPSr is my own at the moment, can any body suggest where I can obtain cheap (or free, scouts are a registered charity any business owners!!) units suitable for kids to use, just after good quality basic units.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Hi Olly,

As an explorer scout myself it is great that you are getting more people involved in caching. Have you had a look at grants at all? If not that may be good idea.

Slightly obvious but --- probably used by most = Garmin eTrex = yellow one

Try firing off an email to Garmin,and let them know they`ll get a lot of good publicity out of it.
