Order of caches on profile page

Does anyone know why the caches on the profile page are in the order they are? I had a check on one or two other profiles and they seem to be the same for everyone. Mine read:

Multi
Locationless
Wherigo
Event
Mega-Event
Virtual
Letterbox
Traditional
Webcam
Earthcache
Unknown

I'm sure this order changes from time to time as well. They aren't in alphabetic order or listed according to how many of each type you have found. Perhaps it is a sophisticated puzzle.

I'm sure it must have been discussed somewhere else at some point but I'm curious to know the logic.

I'm standing by for an embarrassingly obvious answer.

How strange! The order has changed just recently.
It used to be the order in which the cache types were introduced into the game
ie: Trads at the top and Wherigo at the bottom...

I noticed that they had changed earlier. Very strange how they have moved, no idea why though!

I'd love to know too as it seems pretty random looking at last Saturdays logs. If I look the My Profile page they are in the order we did them in but if you look at them on the public facing http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest. ... s+heathens page they are totally random apart from being sorted by found date.

I'd wager it's as simple as there being no explicit ordering specified in the query that fetches the cache types and quantities from the database on the profile page. If the order isn't not specified, the database management software has to decide for itself how to sort the results, which leads to sometimes chaotic looking but probably very logical results
