Missing boy's body found in Worden Park

Postby DogAlmighty » Tue Jan 15, 2013 1:04 am

Police have announced that the missing Leyland school boy Anthony Stubbs has been found. His body was found in Worden Park. What a horrible tragedy for the family. My thoughts are with them.

I thought I would post on here in case anyone was planning on placing a new cache in that area, or perhaps existing cache owners might like to temporarily disable thier caches as a mark of respect.

I was walking in the Park when the Police were carrying out their detailed searches, and after seeing how they carry out their searches, I feel any cache hunting at this time might be a little distasteful.

Hope I haven't offended anyone with this post.

I should add, there aren't any caches in the part of Worden where the body was found, although I don't know about the Whereigo.

Bloody hell I'd hate to have found him. :(

There was a cache in them woods back in 2010 but its long since archived. The wherigo luckily isn't anywhere near and no stages of it are either

Thanks. I wouldn't want a cacher to get abused by someone for looking like a 'rubber necker'.

I was back in the park today and did a quick check on 'Alas Poor' - I suspect the Police wouldn't be too happy stumbling across this particular cache given the circumstances and task in hand. Well it had been muggled (not sure if it was by the police) but I found it a few meters away undamaged and bobbed it back.
