Ghost Hunter forum game

Postby Geocaching Womble » Sat Mar 13, 2010 11:35 am

Hi everyone, I would like to run a fictional game on our forum against a few other cachers where by they register as part of the game and player lists and roles are to be determined by how many people sign up.

Votes are not counted after 8 pm GMT by the forum clock
The setting: an old dark house hidden in woods just outside the the village of Cache-Haven.
The ghosts are here are out in force as is death and it's up to the last few remaining living souls left in the village to stop this plauge of hauntings and free the village forever, the living souls are:

The ghost hunter
The exorcist.
The vicar
The curate
The ghost buster

The Ghosts are:

Lord Cache-Haven
The Butler
The House keeper
The Chef
The final one is Death

Aprentice's may also be added
Choose your side wisely and PM me with your chosen option

As a ghost you may be caught in one of four ways they are the following:

You may be exorcised
Locked in the trap
Being shot at with a proton pack
Being caught in the ghost hunter's jar

As a living souls there are two ways in which you can die in performance of your duties, they are:

Having the ghost walk through you before you catch them
Being taken by death

Everything is decided by votes which will need to be posts on this topic

How do you win:

The ghosts:

The ghosts and death have kill everyone who is trying to catch them before they themselfs are caught

The living souls:

Those still in the land of the living can win by successfully releasing the old house from it's age old curse

How do you score points

Every time a living player is killed a point goes to the departed, the same appiles when the ghosts are caught except the point goes to those still with us

If you are caught or killed you will be informed by PM

DO NOT tell anyone which side you are untill the game ends

Thanks
Dominic

I'm going to be really busy the next few weeks (my mother's coming - gotta sort out the house!) so I haven't got time for one of those absorbing, all consuming forum games right now, sorry :(

Going to have to sit this one out, as I've too much on my plate over the next week or so.

Just bad timing :(

Sorry Dominic.

There's still another of 4 weeks of registration before the game players get the roles dished out, so there's plenty of time still to register or when we get equal team sizes then registration will close

Thanks

Last night, both the exorcist and the curate (now none playable as there were not enough players to use these roles)successfully removed the ghosts of both the Butler and the House keeper (also nonplayable for the same reason) However as they took these horrifying beasts from our world they were draged with them into the abyss

Today a lone geocacher's car broke down in the village of cache-haven his body was discovered by the vicar (She is also the doctor and the village undertaker)who examined him then quickly buried him in the churchyard with a small service.

The ghosts have taken yet another victim

Can no one stop this string of killings?

We will find out if we can get any closer when the votes are counted tonight

Sounds to me like a devious plan by someone, someone who has a track record of evil twisted sneakiness!

I vote for the ghost that is Muttoneer.

(Although in hindsight, this might be a mistake when I need the inevitable help in solving werewolf  )

The ghost hunter known as muttoneer is dead he was taken by death in his sleep. I think it's time he was cremated and his ashes scattered in Cache-Haven

Just wondering if we might re-start the game and go over the rules a little dominic, I think there may be some confusion as to when we started, and what we are voting for.

We can't now unless we redistrbute all the roles again

As for what you are voting for that easy you are voting to free the village form its curse by capturing all the ghosts in the village
