New canal bridge for Bolton

Picture of new bridge that Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal society is building at Nob End.

Over the last few months the MBB canal sciety have been acting as main contractors and rebuilding a canal accommodation bridge over the canal at Nob end, the Meccano bridge has now been lifted into place, who is going to place the first cache there i wonder....

The bridge being replaced is shown on the 3rd photo down the page. taken when the locks were still operational prior to the canal breach in 1936.
