Adding Maps to eTrex 20

I have added an 8GB micro SD card as I'm going to Florida soon & want to take maps & .gpx files with me.

I have successfully added the contents of a pocket query onto the card (in GPX subdirectory) BUT I can't seem to get the Florida Map to even show up in the Map Selection part of the eTrex Menu. I thought the file had to be re-named as "gmapsupp.img" & loaded into the Garmin Folder on the SD card. I already have a file with the same name on the eTrex itself (which is my UK map).

I thought I had read somewhere that any ".img" name was OK though some sites still refer to this naming convention. Could it be that two files with the same name (albeit in different folders - one on the eTrex and one on the SD card) could be confusing the eTrex?

Any help gratefully accepted!!

OK.. total map-phobe here, so not sure why I am even attempting to help but I have a vague recollection of a similar problem on my Oregon and the problem was that the map on my SD card hadn't been "enabled" on the device itself.

On my Oregon.. it's in Settings --> Map --> Map Information - Select Map --> and they are all set to "Enabled"

If it's not that, then apologies.. I know nothing about maps.
