Thanks / "like" button?

Is such a thing do-able on a phpBB board? There's many a time I've read posts on the (old) forum that I would like to show my appreciation for, without needing any further comment, but short of just adding a "+1" or "^^^^^" or "^^What he said" to the board I've not got any option.

I started to use that sort of feature quite a lot on the MoneySavingExpert site, and found it quite engaging, both as a contributor and as a silent reader.
